How We Test Every Game
People ask how we decide what gets a high score, so here's the honest answer. It starts with airplane mode. Before anything else, we cut the connection and see what the game does.
If it works, we play it properly. That means finishing campaigns where we can, or at least sinking several hours into anything open-ended. We take notes on the controls, the battery drain, and how the game behaves on an older test phone.
We also watch for the annoying stuff: pop-ups, forced updates, and menus designed to confuse. None of that changes the core score, but it goes in the review because it affects how the game actually feels to use.
Ratings are subjective and we own that. A 4.5 from us means we'd genuinely recommend it to a friend. Anything below a 4 has a flaw we couldn't ignore.
The whole point is that a human played it. No score here comes from a spreadsheet or a press release.
